แสงธรรมชาติ ส่องผ่านหลังคาผ้าใบสีขาว เป็นแสงนวล สบายตา ช่องเปิดของบันไดเลื่อน ช่วยนำแสงสว่างสู่ระดับล่างลงไป ทั้งช่วยประหยัดพลังงานในเวลากลางวัน แต่ความร้อนที่ผ่านเข้ามาที่เพิ่มขึ้น (โดยเฉพาะหน้าร้อน) ก็ทำให้ระบบปรับอากาศทำงานหนักขึ้นเช่นกัน
